MODERN ADONIS SEEKS A WIFE.
Rare Chance for Cinicnnati
Girl to Secure a German "Beaut."
Here's the chance, girls,
even though the leap year privilege is soon to expire. Widows,
also,
providing they are young. Chance to secure as husband a
"gentleman
of good family, thirty years of age, great figure, physically
agreeable,
amiable character, well educated and enjoying a good position!"
What
more could be wanted? Even the hero on the stage doesn't possess
greater desirable qualities. Best of all, this rare species is
willing
to marry. No dillydallying, not even a tedious courtship, but
business
from the jump, a straight and short path leading direct to the
altar.
There are only one or two minor requisites. The girl or the widow
must be young, of sweet character, be independent and possess a
fortune.
That's easy. The Times-Star presents the opportunity, in behalf
of
the gentleman of great figure, and positively refuses to charge for his
advertisement, although he wants to pay. The opportunity came
through
Thursday's mail, when an imposing-looking envelope was delivered.
It is from Duisburg, Germany, and reads thus:
"DUISBURG, 18-11, 1904,
Times-Star, Cincinnati:
Dear Sir—Please let me
know the cost of advertisement under here, insert three times in
Times-Star.
Very truly yours. Emil Wilhelmi."
"Gentleman—Good family
30 age, great figure, phys. Agreeable, amiable character, well
eductade,
(sic) good position, desire to marry miss or young widow, sweet
character,
independent, having fortune. Write L.A.M., Duisburg, postlagernd
(general delivery), Germany."
