Royal Welcome for New Bishop.
Bishop Walden Will Preside at Music Hall Meeting in Honor of Bishp Henry Spellmeyer.

Details of the mass-meeting of welcome to be held by Methodist Cincinnati in Music Hall, Sunday afternoon, December 18, at 2:30, in honor of the coming to Cincinnati of their new resident bishop, Henry Spellmeyer, are being rapidly arranged by Dr. Davis W. Clark and his co-operating committee.  Dr. Clark, who is the permanent chairman of the Committee on Arrangements for the big meeting for Bishop Spellmeyer, has completed a circular letter of information.  It will be sent to all Methodist ministers in Cincinnati and vicinity Friday.

It is probable that Bishop Spellmeyer will be introduced by Bishop John M. Walden of Cincinnati Music Hall, for the occasion, will be in gala attire, adorned in red and white, the Epworth League colors.  Not only the Methodists, colored and white, German and English, will be in the big Music Hall audience, but also all the Sunday school children of the various M. E. churches of Cincinnati and vicinity have been invited, and Dr. Clark has arranged that the Sunday school pupils shall occupy the dress circle of Music Hall, this part being especially reserved for them for the welcome meeting.  Bishop Spellmeyer has wired Dr. Clark that he will arrive in Cincinnati the week previous to the date of the meeting.  It is understood that Bishop Spellmeyer will make the Hotel Alms its headquarters for a time at least.

Another detail of interest arranged for the welcome meeting is the seating of the ministers.  The entire platform of Music hall is to be reserved for Methodist ministers and pastors of other denominations who will be present.  Music hall will be divided into sections for the representatives of each of the church organization.  There will be Social Union section, where Methodists affiliated with this work will sit; a Woman's Home Missionary section, Senior and Junior Epworth league sections, City Missionary section, Woman's Foreign Missionary section, etc.

A pretty feature of the welcome will be the singing of Bishop Spellmeyer's favorite hymn, which Dr. Clark has written to the bishop to ascertain.  The other music will consist of congregational singing, in connection with choir music.  All the harmonic arrangements are in the hands of Mr. H. W. Crawford.  Hymns for congregational singing will be printed in little pamphlets and these will be distributed at the door.  Dr. Clark also announces that every person present is to be given a handsome souvenir in the shape of a handsome Year Book of 1905 of the Methodists in Cincinnati, and vicinity.
